About the event
Karen is a Clinical Psychologist with a private city practice – Upstream health. She has a lifelong interest in young people’s and adult wellbeing.
Originally from Wales, Karen trained as a teacher after leaving school and taught in schools in England and Wales before emigrating to Australia.
Karen has worked in various Australian educational contexts including school settings, environmental education and tutoring young people and adults with learning difficulties.
Karen studied to become a psychologist in the early 2000s and has subsequently worked as a Clinical Psychologist across various public and private contexts. Karen is passionate about understanding how people learn and how this can be optimised along with their wellbeing.
Karen is a diagnostician for ASD and ADHD and is on the assessment panels for Departments of Child Protection and Education. In recent years, she has travelled to many rural and remote areas of SA to conduct school assessments.
